Safety
What to do when somebody is a problem, and what happens after you do it.
Blocking
Blocking somebody removes them from your deck and you from theirs, and stops either of you proposing to the other. It works on people you have already been matched with, not only on future matches.
They are not told. There is no notification, no marker on their profile, and nothing anywhere that says you did it. Blocking is a boundary you draw, not a punishment you hand out, and you can undo it whenever you like. Only you can.
Reporting
Reporting sends it to the people who moderate CMPTION. The person reported is never told who reported them, and never sees the report.
We will not tell you what we did about it afterwards. That sounds unhelpful and we know it, but the alternative leaks the outcome of a private decision back to whoever filed it, and that gets people hurt. Report it anyway. It is read.
Disputes
If the two of you disagree about what actually happened in a finished collaboration, either of you can flag it. A dispute is not an accusation and it is not a mark against anybody. While it is open the collaboration counts for neither of you and sits out of the Hall.
A moderator who was not involved settles it. Somebody who was in the collaboration cannot rule on their own dispute.
If somebody is in danger
We are a small team and we are not an emergency service. If somebody is at immediate risk, contact your local emergency number first. Report it here too and we will act on the account.
Getting in touch
The report button on somebody's profile is the fastest route, and it is the one that lands in the queue. For anything else, including telling us we got something wrong, there is currently no in-product inbox, which is a gap we know about.
You can also deactivate or close your account at any time, without asking anybody.
